RENAULT TRUCKS DEFENSE INCORPORATES DONALDSON RADIALSEAL™ AIR CLEANER IN SHERPA TACTICAL VEHICLE FLEET
Paris, France – October 19, 2009 – Donaldson France S.A.S., a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is pleased to announce that Renault Trucks Defense has selected Donaldson's RadialSeal™ air cleaners for the company's full line of Sherpa tactical vehicles.
The Sherpa tactical vehicles are designed to transport from 2 to 20 tons in hostile environments. The Sherpa line offers four distinct trucks. The Sherpa 2 and 3 trucks, dedicated to projection and intervention, can carry significant payloads while protecting crew and equipment. The Sherpa 5 and 10 have a higher carrying capacity while maintaining mobility and an increased level of protection.
Donaldson will supply the Sherpa fleet with two-stage air filtration systems – ideal for the large engine applications. Designed with metal housings, the air cleaner systems are durable, corrosion and vibration resistant solutions incorporating RadialSeal technology. RadialSeal is lightweight and easier to service than other filter designs. Its one piece molded urethane end caps encase the filter media and compress radially on the outlet tube to create a seal. The systems provide a leak-free seal in austere operating conditions while reducing components, adding reliability, and lowering maintenance costs.
