As pioneers of the engine air particle separator (EAPS) system, Donaldson offers a range of highly efficient helicopter inlet particle separators for all types of applications and specific equipment needs. And if you need higher efficiency protection than an EAPS from both large and small particulates, we also offer inlet barrier filter solutions.
Features
Spin Dirt Out and Clean Air In
High-efficiency EAPS systems prioritize your needs by using Strata® tubes to remove up to 99 percent of particulate types from air flows. The lightweight Strata tubes help protect diesel and gas turbine engines and environmental systems by using inertial particle separation to spin contaminants out of the incoming air — while still ensuring low airflow restriction.
Maintenance downtime can cost you time and money, which is why our particle separators are self-cleaning and have no moving parts to wear out or break — eliminating the need for regular maintenance.
Ramping Up EAPS Efficiency
Donaldson is continuously improving and advancing our filtration technology to better serve your needs. Our original design, the standard outlet, is still used in many applications, and we recently developed an advanced outlet tube, which features a ramped-style scavenge discharge.
The ramped outlet reduces the inlet area by allowing high-density configurations while maintaining high efficiency levels. It requires half the amount of scavenge flow for equivalent efficiency compared to the standard style.
We also have a zero-scavenge model available for applications without a scavenge airflow source.
A Strata® Package Just for You
We understand your application has specific requirements, which is why Strata panels, made up of individual Strata tubes arranged in a single or series package, can be configured to your space, efficiency and application needs. We have several configurations available that combine three size options and two outlet styles. The Strata panels can also be paired with other filtration methods to provide a complete filtration system that is lightweight and highly efficient with minimal maintenance requirements.
Frame material options for Strata panels include aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and composites. The surface coating can also be customized to your specifications, including paint, anodizing or standard military coatings.
