In heavy-duty vehicles or equipment, no component works alone. An air filtration system is no different; every component needs to work in perfect harmony for optimal performance. That’s why we strive to ensure that every piece of your system is of the highest quality, including the accessories that tie the system together. Donaldson offers a wide range of accessories, from inlet to outlet and everything in between.
Inlet components ensure that the required amount of airflow moves into the air cleaner. We offer a wide variety of hoods, rain caps, and pre-cleaners suitable for any application. Some of these are readily available standard parts. However, if our extensive library of standard inlet components doesn’t offer a solution, we can easily adapt one from another existing solution, or design an all-new part specifically for your need. If you’re not sure what components you need or whether you need standard or customized solutions, the Donaldson engineering team can help you choose your inlet components based on the requirements of the application and the conditions in which the equipment will operate.
In particularly dusty conditions, pre-cleaners can be added to prevent the air filter from reaching terminal restriction prematurely. We also offer a range of options to help remove moisture that may inadvertently make it into the airflow, where it can cause problems.
On the outlet side of an air cleaner, hoses, clamps, and tubing are needed to direct clean airflow to the engine. The same care and quality Donaldson puts into the filters themselves also applies to these vital parts.
A scavenge system can make an OEM design more appealing to those working in environments with heavy dust or debris, like mining or agriculture, by making the pre-cleaner more efficient at removing these contaminants. Scavenge systems increase pre-cleaner efficiency and extend filter life significantly. Our application engineers will help configure an entire scavenge system, including ejector check valves and exhaust ejectors that are necessary to prevent consistent vacuum flow.
While the components themselves need to work effectively and efficiently, it’s vital to remember that the variety of hoses, clamps, and tubing needed to allow for proper airflow into and out of the air cleaner must be reliable. We offer rubber elbows, connectors, tubing, hump reducers, and charge air connectors, along with a range of clamps and mounting bands.
Vacuator™ valves, dust cups, and dust-dumpa tubes are all important components in helping remove dust that’s been separated by pre-cleaners, and all need to be durable and reliable in order to ensure that air cleaners perform effectively over time. We offer a variety of on-air-cleaner components you can rely on.
