In heavy-duty vehicles or equipment, every component must work together to ensure that it functions correctly. An emissions or exhaust system is no different; every component needs to work in perfect harmony for optimal performance. That’s why we make sure that every piece of your emissions or exhaust system is of the highest quality, including the accessories that tie the system together.
Our range of accessories for emissions and exhaust systems provides multiple options to enhance the life of your system. We provide a variety of clamps to ensure a tight seal and a correctly installed system, as well as ejectors and check valves to improve air filter life. We also offer spark arrestors in multiple sizes if your application requires them.
Exhaust Ejectors
Our exhaust ejector line offers three styles (expanded end, compact and standard styles), including a compact length tube for use in applications where space is limited. The ejector mounts as a stack at the end of the exhaust system. It’s recommended that the stack be covered with a curved exhaust stack or a rain cap.
Check Valves
The exhaust ejector check valve uses an internal hinge flap to prevent the backflow of damaging exhaust gases. Adding an ejector check valve to the intake system will allow filtered contaminant to be expelled through the exhaust system.
Clamps
Emissions and exhaust systems use a variety of clamps for different purposes. Selecting the proper clamp for the job is critical to ensure a strong, reliable joint connection. Common types include u-bolt, band clamps, bent bolt clamps and v-band clamps.
Spark Arrestors
Spark arrestors use centrifugal force to separate solids from exhaust gas to reduce the likelihood that a spark can be expelled from the exhaust system. They are required for certain off-road applications per local regulations, but may also be specified depending upon the vehicle type and use.
Donaldson offers spark arrestors of different sizes so that the appropriate back pressure vs. flow can be achieved. They can be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the vehicle need. Spark arrestors are not designed to support the tail or stack pipe without additional support.
